THE LIBERATION & LEADERSHIP TOUR

COME HOME TO GHANA

NOVEMBER 1–18 2026

An 18-day journey of reconnection, healing and belonging — guided by someone who has already walked this path and knows the way home.

✦ Only tour offering the Babatu Reconciliation Ceremony

Who is this journey for?

This journey is for the person who feels a pull toward Ghana

— a quiet knowing that it’s time.

For the leader ready to slow down and listen.

For the seeker looking for grounding, healing, and truth.

For the ancestor‑in‑the‑making who understands this walk is bigger than them.

If that stirs something in you, you’re in the right place.

This Journey Was Designed Specifically for You If:

  1. 1

You’re seeking a homecoming that changes everything.

This experience is for the African Diaspora — and for white descendants of enslavers ready to engage in honest reckoning and shared healing.
  2. 2

    You desire profound, authentic healing.

You are prepared to walk the soil of your ancestors. To stand at the Door of No Return. To confront the weight of history and transform ancestral grief into liberation and purpose. You're not here for surface-level experiences. You're here for the work.
  3. 3

    You are business-minded and forward-looking.

You have curiosity—or intent—to explore business opportunities, real estate, and investment in Ghana. Maybe you're even considering repatriation. Relocation. Building something lasting on the continent. You want to leave Ghana with more than memories. You want to leave with options.
  4. 4

    You seek an intimate community.

You prefer the "concierge" feel of a small, focused group—limited to just 16 travelers—where you can build lasting relationships with fellow visionaries. You want to know people's names. Their stories. Their why. You want to travel with people who get it—who understand what this journey means at this stage of life.

Meet The One Leading You Home

I’m Melannie Denise Cunningham — Executive Producer and Host of the Liberation & Leadership Tour.

I’ve been moving between the U.S. and Ghana since 2018, building relationships, listening to elders, sitting with chiefs, and doing the real work of reconciliation and return.

Folks call me the Peace Queen because I show up with intention, humility, and a heart for healing.

This tour was born from my own journey home — from standing at the Door of No Return, receiving my African name, and walking through moments that cracked me open and stitched me back together.

I’ve lived this path, and now I’m here to walk it with you.

Questions You Might Have

Is Ghana safe?

Yes, baby. Ghana is known as the “Gateway to Africa” and is one of the safest countries on the continent.

You’ll be with professional guides and vetted security (LionelMel Ventures) at all times.

I’ve been traveling there for over seven years. I know the land. I know the people. I wouldn’t take you anywhere I wouldn’t take my own mama.

You’ll be safe. I promise you that.

What's the food like?

Oh, honey—the food.

Expect Jollof rice (and yes, Ghanaian Jollof is the best—don’t @ me). Grilled tilapia fresh from the river.

Plantains. Rich groundnut stews. Fresh tropical fruits that taste like sunshine.

If you have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, allergies, health concerns), we accommodate you. No problem.

You won’t go hungry. And you definitely won’t be bored.

What should I pack?

Light, breathable clothing. Comfortable walking shoes. A journal. And an open heart.

You’ll also have the chance to get custom-tailored African clothing made during the trip. Many travelers end up wearing their new outfits for the naming ceremonies.

There’s nothing like standing before a chief in Kente cloth made just for you.

What if I have mobility concerns or health issues?

Listen—we’ve had travelers in their 70s complete this journey comfortably.

The itinerary is paced for rest, not rushed sightseeing. Most activities involve moderate walking (castles, museums, markets), but we accommodate individual needs.

If you use a cane, a walker, or need extra breaks—we work with you.

We also have a medical contact in Ghana and travel with a basic first-aid kit.

If you have specific health concerns, we’re happy to discuss accommodations during your intake call.

Your comfort matters. Your body matters. And we’ll take care of you.

What if I get emotional?

Good. That means it’s working.

We hold space for tears, silence, laughter, anger—all of it.

You won’t be rushed. You won’t be judged. You’ll be held.

Because healing isn’t neat. It’s not pretty. It’s not Instagram-worthy.

It’s real. And we’re here for all of it.

What if I need to cancel? Is my deposit refundable?

Payments are non‑refundable, so please be sure you’re fully committed to traveling before you make a payment.

I also strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment and give you peace of mind.
