Greater Accra – Volta Region upon arrival in Ghana, you will be transported to the serene waters of the Volta River in the city of Ada for a peaceful getaway to unwind and rejuvenate. During your time in Ada, you will “slow down” to release any stress you hold, and reset your mind to focus on the transformative experience ahead.
Our primary focus in Tamale is to exchange knowledge through enriching experiences with the students and educators at Savannah International Academy (https://sia.edu.gh/). This will provide a unique opportunity for us to engage in global diplomacy with scholars and teachers, fostering an environment of mutual learning and growth.
Also while in Tamale, we will explore a lesser-known aspect of history related to the era of the slave trade. The community around Tamale was involved in the capture and trade of slaves. We plan to meet with the descendants of those involved to gain a deeper understanding of this complex issue.
Cape Coast stands as a poignant reminder of where the transatlantic slave trade began, with ships once departing from its ports carrying our ancestors into bondage. This segment of the trip will include tours of the historic slave castles, where we will deepen our understanding of the history and legacies of these sites. We will stand before the infamous “Door of No Return,” a powerful moment to reflect and recommit to your life purpose. Prepare for a profoundly emotional experience as you confront the stark reminders of the past.
Additionally, this “experience” will include a special naming ceremony, where each participant will be honored with an African name that carries deep significance.
This final stop is crafted as the climactic experience—an immersive exploration of Accra. You’ll dive into the diverse offerings of the capital city, from bustling cultural markets and exquisite local cuisine to promising business and investment opportunities.
If you’re considering relocating to Ghana, you’ll gain valuable insights from local professionals and experts about the requirements, including the immigration process. This will be your chance to learn practical steps for “returning home.”
